The Dalmore Luminary No. 2 The Collectible 2024 Edition is the second chapter of the Luminary Series, a collaboration between the Highland distillery founded in 1839 at Alness and the V&A Dundee design museum, with each edition created alongside a visionary architect, in this case Melodie Leung of Zaha Hadid Architects. It is a 16-year-old single malt shaped by master whisky maker Gregg Glass with a nod to the distillery's past.Matured in hand-selected first-fill American white oak ex-bourbon barrels, then finished in Graham's Tawny Port pipes and Apóstoles sherry casks, with the lightest touch of exceptionally rare peated Dalmore, and bottled at 86 proof, it offers orange, dried fruit and honey on the nose, then a rich palate of chocolate, port-soaked plum, sherried spice and a whisper of smoke, finishing long and elegant.
