Rare Character Hurst Knoll 7 Year Old Rye Whiskey is the everyday rye from Rare Character, the independent bottler founded in 2021 by Pablo Moix and Peter Nevenglosky that has become one of the hottest names in American whiskey. Where Rare Character's single barrels are collector pieces, Hurst Knoll is the bottle Moix, a veteran bartender, built for the bar: a blend of high-rye Kentucky barrels aged a minimum of seven years and bottled at 101 proof. The nose opens with rye spice, cracked black pepper, caraway and toasted oak, then caramelized sugar, vanilla bean, orange zest and dried herbs. On the palate, honeyed grain and caramel arrive first before cinnamon bark, black pepper and baking spice take over, and the finish is long and warm with dark wood, lingering caramel and a touch of citrus peel. Seven years and 101 proof is the sweet spot for a Manhattan or a Sazerac, and it sips comfortably over ice. It is the most accessible way into the Rare Character portfolio and one of the better values in aged Kentucky rye right now.Buy Rare Character Hurst Knoll 7 Year Old Rye Whiskey online with fast shipping right to your door.
