Nothing short of deep and unwavering love — that is what Geum ‘Coral Tempest’ inspires. This brilliant perennial produces a seemingly never-ending procession of large, richly colored coral blooms with satin-like petals that radiate warm melon, apricot, and coral tones. The effect is luminous, romantic, and absolutely bouquet-worthy.
Also known as avens, Geum ‘Coral Tempest’ flowers from spring into summer, with blooms held on dramatically long stems above a lush mound of dark green, scalloped leaves about 18" tall. It is exceptional in cottage gardens, cutting gardens, perennial borders, containers, and loose drifts with yarrow, snapdragons, penstemons, salvias, and ornamental grasses.
Plant Geum ‘Coral Tempest’ in full sun to light shade with fertile, well-drained soil. Deadhead regularly for continued bloom, and avoid overwatering once established to encourage maximum flowering. Long-stemmed, richly colored, and wonderfully garden-worthy, this geum adds warm, glowing color wherever it grows.
